As corny as this sounds, your battery service has changed my view of the whole "ipod thing." I would never have bought an ipod on my own, just too expensive for my budget. However, a friend gave me her old one which had a battery good for a little over an hour, so to me, the 'pod was nothing more than having a diskman/walkman with only one CD or tape at any given time. Now I can literally go days without charging up - I'm a podcast addict so in the evenings I listen to them through the home sound system, and I find myself docking more to sync than recharge. It's wonderful. Now I understand the whole "can't live without my ipod" statements.
