I had never opened an iPod before, but after watching the video clip on your website I was confident I could do it. The instructions were clear…and the tool worked great. I charged my new 850 mAh battery overnight, and the next day I played my 30G, 3rd gen. iPod for over 9 hours and it never lost power.

I had originally returned the iPod to Apple for there so called "battery replacement program". I waited a week and their website indicated they were still testing my iPod, even though they promise a one week turn around. I called tech support, and was told my ipod didn't qualify for the battery replacement program because the hard drive failed one of their tests. I was very disappointed that they were returning my iPod unrepaired. It had been working perfectly before I mailed it in, just wouldn't hold a charge, and I was afraid it had been damaged in transit.

I'm now glad that Apple returned my original iPod to me instead of a refurbished replacement. I'm ready for another year of commercial free cruising thanks to your company."
