"I wanted to share an absolutely wonderful customer experience that I had this morning with John, one of your customer support folks. I received my new battery from your company yesterday and proceeded to install it last evening. Everything was going smoothly until the silver bottom piece which was propped up fell down and the “fragile brown ribbon connector” became unconnected from the silver bottom. I was in a state of shock when I saw this……knowing that this was not a good thing. I could see no way to hook it back. I proceeded to put the iPod back together and found that the scroll wheel no longer worked and the headphone jack was no longer functional as well. Bottom line, I had reduced my IPOD to a high tech paperweight.
I was resigned to going out today to buy a new IPOD. However, I thought I’d take a chance and call your tech support to see if they had any words of wisdom for me. I was very fortunate to have gotten John to speak to this morning. I explained my dilemma to him and he reassured me that all was not lost. He patiently walked me through the process to reconnect the ribbon. If fact, he even got an IPOD and took it apart to the same stage that I was at so he could tell me exactly what to do and how to do it. He was very professional, thorough and took the time needed for me to do this with him until I got my IPOD all back together. And to my amazement, it worked perfectly. The level of customer service that John provided was outstanding. Apple could learn a lot if they had tech support folks that were half as helpful as John. I was very impressed and will highly recommend your company. "

"I just got my 3rd generation battery, order #52347. I read the enclosed directions completely 3 times and watched the 3rd generation support video on trouble opening the case a couple of times before I jumped into replacing the battery. I could get the case to crack, but watched the video again to see the movements of the blue tool to remove the white top. Bingo, I moved the tool up and down the long side, read the directions about being careful with the next step of doing the top or bottom, gave the blue tool a little twist and the white case popped off and took the hard drive with it. There I was looking at the exposed battery. I had no problem getting the old battery disconnected and the new battery went in without a hitch. I looked at the hard drive, gently placed the connector over the mother, applied scarcely any downward pressure as I moved the connector around the spot on the motherboard and bingo, it slid into place. I checked the directions for which end of the IPOD to connect first when closing the case, clicked that end and the rest followed. The last thing I did was make sure the battery wires were safe and pressed that corner shut. I think it took more time for me to read the directions and watch the videos than it did to change the battery from start to finish. It's charging now and the motherboard and sound work just fine. Wow, that was easy! You have very good directions and the little extra videos help immensely. I love reading directions to see if they are written well. As a retired teacher, you get an A+ for your directions. I love my IPOD and am so glad I can have a new battery in my IPOD. Off to see if my niece still has her old IPOD because I know she needs a new battery. Thank you,"
